Tofu stir-fry with sesame and broccoli
Crispy tofu with broccoli, carrots and a sesame-soy glaze — 32 g plant protein, ready in 25 minutes.
Ingredients
- 150 gtofu(cubed)
- 125 gbroccoli(in florets)
- 75 gcarrots(in matchsticks)
- 15 mlsoy sauce
- 5 gginger(finely grated)
- 1 clovesgarlic
- 5 gmaple syrup
- 7 ½ mltoasted sesame oil
- 7 ½ gsesame seeds(toasted)
- ½lime

Pat 150 g tofu dry with kitchen paper.

Heat 10 ml of 7 ½ ml toasted sesame oil in a non-stick pan over high, sear the tofu cubes 5 minutes until golden on all sides, remove.

Add the remaining sesame oil, stir-fry 125 g broccoli and 75 g carrots for 4 minutes until just tender. Briefly toast 1 cloves garlic and 5 g ginger.

Return tofu to the pan, deglaze with 15 ml soy sauce and 5 g maple syrup, glaze for 1 minute.

Finish with juice of ½ lime and sprinkle with 7 ½ g sesame seeds to serve.

Frequently asked
Which tofu turns out the crispiest?
Firm plain tofu, pressed dry and cubed. Smoked tofu has more flavour but won't crisp up as much.
